We like hearing new music, and most of the people visiting
this site probably do too, so this space gives young musicians from
around the country an outlet to a new audience.
If we didn't bump into each other on the road,
that's okay, you can still use this page to promote your band website
or MySpace profile.
UPDATE:
In post-production, we're compiling a soundtrack for the
documentary from the songs submitted by young musicians.
If you're interested, please press:
Keep in mind you can publicize music at this site
even if you don't want it to be considered for the documentary soundtrack.
We only ask that you be a musician between the ages of 18-25, or
be in a band with at least one member between those ages.
I'm a musician, writer, and actor looking to place my songs in quality documentaries and film. I am doing work in local Albuquerque indepent film, and particularly enjoy scoring incidental music to film clips.

We are looking to define the various landscapes of this country through sound. The music seeks to penetrate a variety of influences centered around American country, blues and rock n roll while rooted in delivering a freshness and contempoary timelessness that emulates this diverse country.
The Doubloon Siesta is all about musing. Repetition overlaid with subtle improvisation form the core of music which aims to capture everyday moods in a new way.
Two old friends from college were separated for several years after one moved far away from Boston, where both of them first met. After a while it became clear to both that playing music together was a necessary life path. Along the way they found a wonderful drummer and cello player/ multi-instrumentalist. They now spend their time creating music together and traveling all over the country playing it.
Having formed during their time in St. Louis three years ago, three Los Angelinos and a kid from Connecticut toured the Midwest, developing their blend of rootsy pop, modern rock, and R’n’B (early Elton John, Jon Brion, Counting Crows, Wilco, Ed Harcourt, Van Morrison, Maroon5) and honing a strong sense of place in the Midwest. When they finally returned to L.A. with the good news from the ‘flyover states’, they found themselves without any connection to the scene in Hollywood and Silverlake. Rather than pushing their way into that community, the band took up a residency at O’briens, a pub in Santa Monica reminiscent of the dive bars across the Midwest where they had developed their chops. From the tiny stage in the back room, they built a name and a crowd that now lines up around the block.
The Joy Bus is a band that likes to play hot fire rock and roll music. They all have crappy stupid jobs they don't like and would much rather be playing music most of the time. The band members have played in variuos bands you have probably not heard of for many many years. Most of their nights are spent practicing, playing shows, or getting drunk. The Joy Bus combines elements of many different kinds of music to make their unique sound, but they are mainly a rock band, and should be booked with bands like that. They are loud, fast and heavy, yet soft and nice, like a fuzzy sledgehammer. The Joy Bus would love to find a record label that would like to give them money to tour, promote, and record. That's all they want to do anyway, so if someone wanted to help them do that, that would be sweet. You should call them and drop off a thick wad of cash, some cheap red wine, and chronic leaves, no seeds. Except for Brandon, he is responsible, and he is also who you should call.

The Randy Bandits formed by accident in 2001 when Jim Knable, a playwright and singer/songwriter, got some friends together to jam in a Queens apartment. They started gigging as a funny little folk group. Then they found a bassist and a drummer and became an actual band. They play all over New York and surrounding towns in places like The Knitting Factory, The Living Room, CB's Gallery (RIP) while recording an EP in 2003 (Woman or the Blues) and an album in 2006 (REDBEARD). They have achieved a cult status in New York and internationally thanks to the wonders of the internet and continue to put out music that's always about finding the right genre for the song rather than making songs fit into one genre. Each band member is a multi-instrumentalist and singer, making Randy Bandits concerts similar to watching a three-ring circus.
After having disappeared for the latter part of 2006, The Unusual Suspects are gearing up to hit the road harder than ever before.
2005 saw the band release their professional debut EP, "Phonograph." It included numerous songs that received radio-play across the Southeast. In order to keep the momentum going, the band hit the road playing shows all over the region.
Their "Phonograph" tour run had them sharing the bill with bands like Flickerstick (Winner of VH1 Bands on the Run), Scratchtrack, Shawn Mullins, Left Front Tire, and Sugarcult, Early November, and Hawthorne Heights as part of the "Take Action Tour." The band returned home and shifted their attention to writing the follow-up record to "Phonograph."
Finally, in mid-2006 the band hit the studio with a bigger budget and a different producer.
With the release of their next album looming for 2007, the band is also making plans to record their first full-length record, all while touring throughout the year.
Theo & The Skyscrapers consist of a trio of renowned New York City musicians: Theo Kogan, former lead singer of the legendary all-female band Lunachicks; Sean Pierce, from the Toilet Boys; and drummer, Chris Kling.

we care about current events and music. we wish our generation could do more to voice our opinions and take action against those in power who arent concerned about our future, only their hand of power.
I'm a young black gentlemen from one of the smallest, pure white towns in Connecticut. I dont know if anyone from my town has ever been to LA, nevermind lived there. I play music in Boston and now in LA. I write songs about the things that all people in my age group think/worry/cry about..
